What is private mode on linkedin?

LinkedIn offers a feature called "Private mode" which allows users to browse profiles without revealing their own identity. When private mode is enabled, the person whose profile you are viewing will not be able to see that you have visited their profile and your information will be hidden from them.

To enable private mode on LinkedIn, follow these steps:

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the LinkedIn homepage and select "Settings & Privacy" from the dropdown menu.
  2. In the Privacy tab, scroll down to the "How others see your LinkedIn activity" section.
  3. Click on the "Profile viewing options" link.
  4. Select the option to browse in private mode (either "Private mode" where only job titles and industries are shown, or "Private mode with reduced profile" where all information is hidden).
  5. Click Save changes.

Keep in mind that using private mode on LinkedIn may limit some of the features and functionality on the platform, such as seeing who has viewed your profile or being able to reach out to users who have visited your profile.
